My love and prayers to all of you in the loss of Alvin.  I loved him so much, and recall all the happy times I had as a child with him and Altha.  So happy I got to see him at our First Counsins' Reunion, which was planned by Marji.  Unfortunately I've been having trouble with my computer and just received this message today from Donna.  I am sorry I'm unable to attend the service...I would have been their had I known earlier...I would be too late by the time I drove up there now.  Please accept my apologies for not being there.  May God bring you each His peace, and after your sorrow isn't quit so sharp, my He fill your memories with joy!

Alvin was especially close to my mother Mildred Dunning, and after my Dad died Alvin was so very helpful in helping me clean out their home (the home of my childhood).  The home was built in 1953 and had been accumulating stuff until 1989; quite a chore for a single day's work. Myrna kept Mom occupied while Alvin and I worked. I surely couldn't have done it without him.
  I know he was disappointed that there was not more time between Mom's passing and her graveside services, but my sons were kind enough to take off work to accompany me as we flew her body back to the very same place where Alvin will finally rest, and where all of my family is already resting up there amid the lilac bushes and in view of the mountains... sigh...both parents and my brother.  God bless all of you who loved him; to ""us cousins"" his passing seems like the marking of the passing of an era. Prayers of comfort ascending.

My aunt moved to the Sterling House in 2009. Al and Shirley were the first residents that we met. It sometimes becomes hard to visit someone there as often as I do, but it was always a pleasure to see Al.  I have felt so sad to see his health problems deteriate of late. Although we will all miss his presense and spark, he is obviously in a peaceful and wonderful place at this time.  I just wanted you to know what a special ""AL"" he is.  I pray for all of you in your grief and also for Shirley.  I plan to visit her Wednesday with a hug and flowers.  My best to all of you! It was my luck to meet Al. Judy Laugel

To the Cayou family:  We send our sincere sympathies to you all.  We knew Al and his family for many years, both through HP and at Red Feather Lakes.  Such a nice man - he led a long and productive life and no doubt it is hard to let him go.  Please know we are saddened by his passing.

We went once  a month to help Bob Martin do the Sunday message.   Al was so kind and so generous and we loved visiting with him each time. We know that he is up in heaven right now, smiling down on all of us. He blessed our lives with the few short years we got to know him.  Al will be greatly missed.

Ron, Marvin and I send our condolences.  Uncle Alvin was a great guy.  We loved visiting Myrna and Al whenever Dad brought us home.  And our last trip was made all the more memorable by the silliness of the two brothers being together and enjoying each other. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. When I think of Alvin I can't help but smile.  He was always one of the funnest members of our family to be around when he started sharing stories of days gone by.  I will miss him and think of him each time I hear a funny family story, knowing he would have loved to hear it or loved to tell it.  Love to you Richard, Marilyn, and Leona as well as all your families.  You have my deepest of sympathies!

Our deepest condolensces or the loss of your Father, Richard. Virginia and I knew you in school. I worked with your memorable Mom, Myrna at the pottery factory as a senior in High School. I always heard stories about the family and of course, Myrna's husband, Al. May God bless your family.
