Angie Estala, age 85, of Greeley, Colorado passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023. She was born on July 23, 1938, to Luis and Frances Calvillo in Greeley, Colorado. Angie received her GED and attended classes at Aims Community College.
Angie worked for Wright and McGill in Greeley and the Employment Services of Weld County; mainly working with Veterans. The highlight of her life was meeting Paul Estala. The two of them fell in love instantly and could not wait to spend the rest of their lives together. They moved to Arvada together and spent their retirement there. While in Arvada she was a member of the American Legion post 11-11. She loved attending the Women's Auxiliary breakfast on Sundays; she often helped out when she could. Angie loved to shop at secondhand and antique stores. Eventually, she returned to Greeley and spent her final years here. Angie also loved working on puzzle books, crossword puzzles, watching crime shows and action movies. She even loved watching drag racing; whenever the girls were racing. She enjoyed family gatherings and being surrounded by the ones she loved, especially her boys Brian and Skylar. She was delighted when her first great grandson, Arlo Estala, was born.
Angie is survived in life by her son, Brian Jojola of Greeley; brothers, Joseph Calvillo and John Calvillo of Greeley; sister, Darlene Shaw of Greeley; brother, Steve (Jolynne) Calvillo of Fort Collins; her beloved niece, Sarah Calvillo; grandson, Skylar Jojola of Greeley and great grandson, Arlo Estala.
Angie is preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Frances Calvillo; brother, Jesse Calvillo and sister, Mary Rose Calvillo.
A Visitation for Angie will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th St., Greeley, Colorado 80634. Liturgy of The Word will begin at 11:00 A.M following the Visitation. A Burial will immediately follow the Liturgy of The Word at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 W 28th St, Greeley, CO 80634.
