I really loved hearing all of your great stories about your life! I really miss you and I always will.  I'm so glad I was able to talk to you.  Even though you were unconcious, I knew that you heard me anyway.  I love you so much and I hope you have the best time in Heaven!  Love forever, Erin

So many of us counted on Grandma Rutherford to be our steady connection to family past, present and future.  I will always be amazed by her optimism and her appreciation for the ""very good life"" she shared with Pappy, her greatly loved children and her many,many grands and greats.  Her recollections of hard events were told with the humor and amazement that the distance of time affords.  I heard so much thankfulness from her about being able to look back and see the blessings that came out of all the trials.
