

Annie Grace Hillman, 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep early on May 1, 2012. Annie was born at home in Kersey, Colorado to John and Ida (Lee) Hafelfinger. She was the oldest of 12 children. She attended schools in the Kersey and Milliken areas.
At 18, she married Jake Allmer and they farmed near Milliken, Greeley and Wiggins. They adopted Howard Allmer and had four children of their own, Linda, Beverly, Bruce and Dwight. After the death of Jake, she married Henry Weber of Wiggins, where they farmed for 3 years.
She drove the school bus for Wiggins and Kersey district and worked at the China department at the Denver Dry Goods until it closed. She and 5 of her siblings moved to Grover where she met Alfred Hillman. They married on April 4, 1990 and because of declining health they moved to Greeley. She was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Greeley.
Annie enjoyed reading the Bible and bird watching until her eye sight failed. Her greatest comfort was found in the Holy Scriptures and holding and getting kisses from her great-granddaughter, Kaylene. She loved to sing and remembered every word to many, many songs.
She is survived by Alfred Hillman of Missouri; daughters, Linda Adams of Colorado Springs and Beverly Davenport of San Diego, California; son, Bruce (Juanita) Allmer of Gilcrest; daughter-in-law, Charlene Allmer of Brush; grandsons, Scott (Linsey) Allmer of Colorado Springs, Chance Bergstrom of Houston, Texas, Jaz (Mindy) Allmer of Evans and Jordan (Tanisha) Allmer of Greeley; great-granddaughters, Ashley Allmer of New Jersey and Kaylene Allmer of Greeley and one great-great-grandson, Brennan Davis of New Jersey. She is also survived by siblings, Carol (Duane) Schutt of La Salle, Helen and David Hafelfinger of Greeley. She is preceded in death by brothers, John, James, Clyde , Fred and Danny Hafelfinger; sisters, Alice, Louise and Betty; sons, Howard and Dwight and granddaughter, Brandy.
Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, 3425 West 6th Street, Greeley.
