Arnold Francis Leuenberger

Arnold grew up in Ossian, Iowa. After serving in the United States Marines during the Korean War, he moved to Casper, Wyoming, where he met Kathie. The family moved to Greeley in 1968.

Arnie was an agent for Farmers Insurance in Greeley for over 40 years. He was also a member of the Elks Club in Greeley and the Greeley Senior Center. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

He loved golf, pool and ping pong. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was known to those he met as a very jovial, outgoing man. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

Arnie is survived by his sons, Bryan (Stephanie) Leuenberger of Austin, Texas/Salida, Colorado, Don (Leslie) Leuenberger of Littleton and Larry (Lena) Leuenberger of Lörrach, Germany; two sisters, Florence (Jerry) Warney of Deming, New Mexico and Collette (Harold) Buchheit of Dubuque, Iowa; four grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan, Keely and Jeremy Leuenberger and a granddaughter, Danielle, due at the end of February.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathie, his parents and four brothers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Inurnment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
