OBITUARY

Barbara Ann Conger

July 20, 1933March 17, 2020

Barbara Ann (Evans) Conger was born in Meridian, Mississippi on July 20, 1933. She died in Greeley, Colorado on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 6:30 P.M.

Barbara was married to her husband George for 62 years. They had two children, Greg and Leslie, and eight remarkable grandchildren.

Barbara was a kind Christian lady who had many precious friends. She loved outdoor activities and sports, a passion passed on to her by her father.

In their youth Barbara and George enjoyed traveling and they were both active in community events. They held the honorary position of Old Buckers following their active participation on the Greeley Independence Stampede Committee.

Barbara played golf at the Greeley Country Club, enjoyed downhill snow skiing, hiking, water skiing, parasailing, power boating, snorkeling, and sailing. She was active in a book group as well as Questors, PEO, and volunteer work with the American Red Cross.

Barbara was an elementary school teacher for eleven years prior to the birth of her children. If the opportunity had presented itself Barbara might have been a professional dancer. Nothing pleased her more than to dance away the night.

After health issues confined her to her home, she enjoyed visitors and playing Mahjong.

A memorial service will be scheduled once the Corona virus confusion settles.

Barb was such a wonderful woman! She will be dearly missed. I loved playing golf with her in ladies league and have missed being able to play with her the last few years . She always had such encouragement to the new ladies. She always had a piece of candy if we made par or birdie, or if we could make it to the green in 2 shots. She also said she would owe us a margarita if we could hit it to the margarita tree on #8. I really loved her smile and the brightness she brought to the world around her! She will be dearly missed. ❤️

My thoughts are with you. I will never forget Dr. Conger's 50th birthday when Mrs. Conger and Leslie brought a cake to Aims to share. She was always so gracious.

The Lutgen family, Larry, Grenda, Lisa, Mark, and Craig wish you peace at a time of Barbara, our friend, passing.
We shared much as families: Skiing, sharing runs in CUS, luncheons, we could go on and on.
Sadly we miss connected the last few years in retirement, but the friendship and caring was always there. Go in peace, they Lutgens

Barbara had a steady smile, even when she knew she had caregiving years ahead for her husband George. I am feeling today for her kids and grandkids - for Greg, Leslie and families. And George will miss her keenly.
God's peace and strength be with you all! Ila Leavy GWHS
