Beatrice June Kobobel

November 15, 1940 ~ January 26, 2012

Beatrice June Kobobel (Bailey), 71, left this world to join her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on January 26, 2012, with her family by her side at Northern Colorado Medical Center of Greeley, Colorado. She is currently walking heaven's streets of gold and reuniting with her family and friends.

She was born November 15, 1940, in Jefferson City, Missouri to Elmer Allen Bailey and Frances Maybelle Bailey (Rice), and moved with her family to Greeley, Colorado. She graduated from high school at 17, and later received an Associates degree at AIMs for Fashion Design. At 18, she married a dashing young Navy sailor, Ronald Eugene Smith and together they had 6 children. They separated ways, and she married Bob Kobobel briefly. She spent her life dedicated to her children, grandchildren and the church.

Her profession was nurses aid, bringing her no-nonsense disposition and sense of humor to her patients. Her life's goal was to minister to those needing kindness, using counselling, nursing skills, prayer or volunteering. She became an ordained minister, and primarily served the prison population at Weld County, also serving in Russia, the Ukraine, and Washington, D.C. Her interests included: biblical devotion, family, travel, horses, water aerobics, sewing, gardening, and cooking. Late in life, she became a water aerobics instructor at the Greeley Conditioning Spa. She has been an active member of Victory Christian Fellowship since 1984.

She was a devoted sister, mother and grandmother, and is survived by 4 siblings: Blane Bailey, Betty Montgomery, Beverly Orr, and Bobby Bailey, 6 children: Ronette Smith, Roger Smith, Eric Smith, Scott Smith, Julie Walker, Trina Tridico, 17 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frances and Elmer, and grandchildren Tanner Scott Smith, and Indigo Yoon Walker.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, January 29 at 3:00pm – 5:00pm at Stoddard Funeral Home.

A burial service for the extended family will be held on Monday January 30, 10:00am at Linn Grove Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at Victory Christian Fellowship at 11:30am.
