Benita grew up in Greeley, where she attended Jackson elementary, John Evans Middle School, and graduated from Greeley West high school with honors. She then furthered her education at IBMC for cosmetology and graduated with a barbering certificate as well.
Raised catholic, Benita made her first communion at Our Lady of Peace where her godparents were Debra and Ken Apodaca. Benita’s life was dedicated to her son, her work and her family. She was the life of the party and her radiant smile was always the first to light up any room. She was very passionate about her work and spent her free time at the ranch with her dad, dancing to cumbias, and going out on adventures with her son.
Vibrant and beautiful, Benita is survived by her son, Jovanni Elias Franco Moran; parents Alfonso and Lisa Moran, Grandmother Elaine Romero, only sister Shantelle Salazar, nieces; Lucilla, Lilliana, and Laura; nephew, Lucas, several cousins including Kayla Moran whom she made her communion with and, many more aunts, and uncles. She was loved by so many, admired by her family, and a hero to her son.
