Benjamin David Mann of Evans died December 28, 2010 at North Colorado Medical Center. Benjamin was born April 17, 1978 in Greeley to Dennis and Paleri (Walker) Mann.

Benjamin was reared and educated in Greeley, later living in the Ault area. He graduated from University High School in 1996. Benjamin received a scholarship and attended the University of Northern Colorado (UNC). He was working towards a degree in History and later Library Science to fulfill his lifelong goal of becoming a minister. Benjamin worked at UNC Student Services while he was a student.

On May 30, 2004 Benjamin married Thelma Ruiz at Abundant Life Fellowship in Greeley. Benjamin was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God. He was a past member of the Warnoco Artistic Roller Skating Club where he was a regional champion, the UNC Men’s Glee Club, and the UNC Praise Unlimited Gospel Choir. Benjamin played the drums in the Greeley Accordion Band and enjoyed playing chess. In his later years he was active in his church and various organizations which support exceptional children.

Benjamin is survived by his wife Thelma; daughters, Perla Lynn and Fabiola Denise; son, Hector; parents, Dennis and Paleri; sisters, Carole Pearson (Christopher) and Theresa Mann; grandmother, Rev. Marjorie Walker; mother-in-law Bertha Ruiz Espinosa and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded by his father-in-law, Nicholas Ruiz.

Visitation 4 -7 p.m. Monday at Stoddard Funeral Home. Funeral service 10 a.m. Tuesday at Glad Tidings Assembly of God. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens
