Brenda,
I doubt you remember me, but I did my Master's in Biology at UNC under your father-in-law, the greatest teacher I ever had. I remember when you and Bert were first married, and I also have such fond memories of staying over at your in-laws and sharing stories. I was shocked to hear of Bert's passing, and I am so sorry...but I know you had many wonderful years together. I'd really like to see Bert Sr. sometime...he was a great mentor, and did much to shape my career at the University of Wyoming.

I had the pleasure of knowing Bert at a very impressionable time in my life. The fond memories of several co-workers who have passed, recently, help assure me that what we do in this life has a lasting impact on others, not just as a reflection of one's individual faith. May god bless Bert's family as the path before them becomes more trying.

Brenda & Family,
So sorry for your loss. I first met Bert about 16 years ago as the produce guy at Safeway when I was a new mother. We would visit for a few minutes about our families when I would come in shopping, then one time he mentioned his business (Thomas Advertising Specialties) and as an employee for the Health Department I started ordering all my "give-away" items from him. He was a great guy... he will be missed in this world!!

My thoughts and prayers are with you all...Bert and I shared many years at Safeway! He was a Good Guy! He always wanted to write a book about the silly things that customers said or did in the grocery store! He had a great sense of humor...He will be Missed.

I never worked with Bert, but being a part of the bigger Safeway family, I knew him. I never knew someone that was alway upbeat and positive. As a parent he was always so very proud of his boys and that always impressed me. He will truly be missed. Know that you all are in my thoughts.

I had the pleasure of meeting Bert and Brenda and the boys over 25 years ago when our Sons played baseball together in the Greeley Rec league. He was such a nice family man and genuinely cared about people. It was always nice seeing him at the local Safeways and catching up with him and talking about our families. I was very saddened to hear about the passing of Bert. Brenda, Bryson, Brady and extended family, I am very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

We have know Bert and Brenda for a long time. Brenda and I were pregnant with our first sons at the same time. Bert and Buzz would share "pregnancy" stories while Bert worked at Safeway and Buzz worked at the Greeley Mall. Little did we know our lives would touch again as our boys grew up and played baseball together. Bert and Buzz coached our sons and many more for several years. The Thomas Family is the most loving and giving family we have ever had the honor to know. We will miss you Bert. May God Bless and watch over all of you and give you strength. Love Buzz and Helen Buznedo

Our family's have know each other for what seems like forever....since before our kids were born and as good fortune would have it we were blessed when we welcomed Brady as a son-in-law into our family. Our family's will always be wonderfully bonded together by the union of Brady and Rachel and now their two precious girls. What a blessing your family is to ours and we thank God for the opportunity to know Bert. May he rest in peace.
