Betty Sue Cooper, 86, of Greeley passed away peacefully in her sleep and was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Dec. 12, 2018. She was born to Lucy and John Chapman on Sept. 21, 1932 in Okmulgee, OK.
Betty was blessed with numerous creative talents including ceramics, music, crochet, knitting, sewing, and painting. She was inducted into the Boulder Painting Guild in 1975. She held many leadership positions within the church including board member, missions president, children’s director, and choir member. She loved God, her family, and life. Her positive, friendly nature was infectious.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Bud, two sons, John and James, brother Ed, and grandchild Robert. She is survived by her six children, Vickie, Debbie, Eugene, Sandra, Tina, and Winnie, plus numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her Celebration of Life will be held Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the Greeley First Church of the Nazarene, 2515 W. 16th St., Greeley, CO.
