I was a bit terrified of school at times when I attended Clayton Elementary, however, Mrs. Floyd took me under her wing so many times and reassured me that everything would always be fine and they always were. She used to call me her "Pity Pat" which was a nick-name I grew to cherish. As a young adult, I would often run into her at the grocery store and her face would light up when she'd see me. And I was still her "Pity Pat".

I love you Mrs. Floyd... Thank you and God speed, ma'am.

The lady always had a smile and a hug for all her students.  Mrs. Floyd  wasn't just my favorite teacher, she was the BEST teacher I ever had.  She was the epitome of her profession.  She was a great teacher, but a better person. I thank God that she was an influential part of my life. I was truly blessed by knowing her.  Memories will always keep her close by.  ""God Bless You"" Mrs. Floyd.
