Betty was raised as a farm girl in Eaton. She graduated from Galeton High School. In April 1951, she married Orville McQueen in Las Gatos, California. She was a member of the First Covenant Church for many years.
Betty worked at Albertsons for 15 years. She was a fun mom and was very active with her children. The family enjoyed spending weekends at Red Feather and Chambers Lakes. Betty enjoyed needlepoint, oil painting and was a beautiful pianist. Her life’s passion was her family, children and grandchildren. After the passing of her husband, Betty moved in with her daughter, Leslie, and she thought it was great to have four generations under the same roof.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Leslie Parker of Greeley; two sons, Larry (Vickie) McQueen of Evans and Terry (Lisa) McQueen of Greeley; a sister-in-law, Georgia Duell of Estes Park; a brother, Ron (Marcia) Duell of Estes Park; ten grandchildren, Bree (Mark) Willis, Kelley (Chase) Montoya, Jamie Parker (Travis Smith), Chris Parker, Bobby McQueen, Cameron McQueen, Blaire McQueen, Jessica Williams, Taryn McQueen and Calvin Williams and seven great-grandchildren, Tula Smith, Josephine Montoya, Kristian Montoya, Parker Willis, Isabella McQueen, Conor Montoya and Marin Willis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Lloyd Duell and a sister, Edna Johnson.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
