Betty Jane White was born in Fort Collins, Colorado, on October 25, 1933, to John and Rose Lahnert. Betty graduated from Pierce High School in 1951 and, later that year, married Donald White on September 16 at First Congregational Church in Eaton.
Betty and Don spent their first nine years together farming in the Ault and Eaton areas before moving to Greeley. Betty worked in food service for District Six and later for Greeley Medical Group and North Colorado Medical Center.
After retiring, Betty enjoyed quilting and genealogy. She and Don also loved antiquing, attending yard sales, and traveling. Their faith was an important part of their lives, and they faithfully attended church together.
Betty is now with Jesus, her Lord and Savior.
Betty is survived by her three children: Janet Newth and her husband, Byron, of Evans; Roberta Brouwer and her husband, Mike, of Fort Collins; and Glenn White and his wife, Kerri, of Greeley. She is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, a great granddaughter, her parents and three older brothers.
