What we remember most about Mother Billie is that she was always there for us.  Always ready to listen and to hear about what was going on in our lives from the time we were married up until our last conversation with her.  Never did we hear her complain or seem downcast, even though we know she had to have had those days.  She was ALWAYS doing for others and she loved people more than anyone we ever met. What a Christian example she set before us, with the way she lived her life. We will miss her ever so much, and oh how we loved her!

You were a special lady to us. Thanks for the bathing suit, when I was a kid, when everyone else said, I was to fat, and trying so hard to teach me how to swim, I still cant, but thanks to you, I;am not afraid of the water. Your home with the lord, a place we know, you were looking forward to being. A place where you can breath. I will miss our chats & gossips time. Thanks for being the glue in our family and letting us know, what was going on. We were never outcasts, with you. We love you.

I remember Mother Billie for the special way she treated me as a child. She was always there as I was growing up to keep me posted on Dad & where they were living. She always made sure I got a birthday & Christmas card. But, most of all I remember her laughter & her love of flea markets. There was always something that caught her eye. She was a special lady & I'll miss her.

Billie was a lovely, sweet, and creative lady.  We had always promised to make an antiqueing trip to Louisville together.  I regret this never happened.  She graciously came to my father's memorial in 2002, she didn't know him, she came for me.  That is the sort of thoughtful thing she would do.  I know the family will miss her desperately, as will we, who lived at North College MHC with her.

Grandma Billie: 
We shared many great conversations together-especially those about whom we love most: Jesus Christ, and our faith in Him.  We really appreciated having someone so close to us who shared our same hope in the eternity to come for believers.  You were a gift of inspiration and support to us using our gifts for His Kingdom.  We love you.
