Bob Wickersheim

Robert “Bob” Wickersheim passed away on December 26, 2016. He called Platteville his home since moving to Colorado. Bob was born in Los Angeles, CA on December 20, 1943 to Charlotte Keeney and William Wickersheim. He graduated from Santa Fe High School located in Santa Fe Springs, CA in 1961.

Bob joined the U.S Coast Guard to stay close to the states, but ended up traveling more than his brother in the Navy. His service on the USCGC Ironwood WAGL 297 took him Honolulu, Ulithi, Johnston, Palu, Rongelap, Saipan, Kwajalein, Okinawa, Bikini Atoll, Yokosuka, Eniwetok, Hong Kong, Guam and the Philippines.

Bob loved life and could strike up a conversation about music, cars, politics or just about anything else with most everyone he came across. The result led to diverse group of friends that loved him for who he was. Survivors include daughter Jennifer Crabb, Son in Law Joshua Crabb, Grandsons Riley and Logan Crabb.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother William “Bill” Wickersheim.
