Bonnie Jean White entered The Kingdom of Heaven Friday, September 25, 2026, at the age of 57. After passing peacefully in her sleep, she now lives in eternal health, happiness and love with Jesus Christ. Bonnie achieved a Bachelor of Arts in communications where she graduated from Regis University. She was educated beyond communication as she always had her “can do” attitude and learned anything she put her mind to. She loved spending time with her family, staying in touch daily with her children, grandchildren and her sisters. She loved nature, taking drives up the mountain, art and drawing, singing and dancing, and animals - especially her dog Max whom she’s reunited with in Heaven. Bonnie would happily take a trip to the grocery store with her kids or sister, or anywhere she was invited, to be able to spend time with her family. The thing she loved most in the recent part of her life was her “grandma time.” She would never turn down an opportunity to be with her grandchildren or do anything for them. From taking adventures to the park, picking out the best toy, to simply snuggling on the couch, she cherished and loved every moment of being a grandmother.
Anyone who knew Bonnie would tell you her warm heart, her smile and her laughter were contagious. She was independent, playful, kind, and knew the perfect moment to add a little sass. You couldn’t enter her home without being offered food and drink, becoming engaged in good conversation, and embraced in a warm hug on your way out of the door. She listened actively with a smile and responded thoughtfully knowing just what to say. She was a strong-faithed Christian woman, and she shared her faith and love of Jesus with the ones she loved while continuously studying the word of God. She found importance in teaching her children and grandchildren about the love, sacrifice, and forgiveness of Christ. She was selfless, encouraging, uplifting, faithful, trustworthy, and so loving. To her children she was more than just a mother, she was also their teacher and friend. She always had a positive thing to say and would cheer you on at your lowest and highest moments and everything in between.
Born in Fort Collins, Colorado and growing up in Platteville, Colorado, Bonnie eventually adventured and built her family traveling to Germany after marrying her high school sweetheart then moving to California where she worked as a security guard for NASA. She found her way back home to Platteville where she raised her four children and worked retail to assure a schedule where she could be active and present for her kids. She never missed a field trip, school party, awards ceremony, or sports event – even as a grandmother. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, great aunt, daughter, and friend.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Charolette White and her grandson Calvin Chacon. Bonnie is survived by her two sisters Julie Randolph and Brenda Joseph; Her four children Michael Chacon, Marcus (Melissa) Chacon, Marissa (Curtis) Abels, and Megan (Hayden) King; Her seven grandchildren Canon, Sage, Hadlee, Oaklynn, Allie, Caleb, and Jaxon; And a large extended family of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She left instilled in the ones she loved her humor, compassion, and her steadfast faith.
A Celebration Of Life will be held at the Platteville Community Center, 508 Reynolds Ave, Platteville, CO 80651, on October 23, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
