Carl J. Miller, 44, of Pierce, passed away at his home on November 5, 2014. Carl was born October 3, 1970 in Greeley to Warren Albert and Charlotte Kay (Wilson) Miller. He married Dana Jones on July 11, 1992 in Ault, CO.
Carl has lived in Eaton, Ault, and lastly in Pierce since 1996. He graduated from Highland High School in Ault, CO and went on to graduate from Aims Community College and UNC in 1997.
Carl started working in 1997 for the State of Colorado, 19th Judicial District as a Probation Officer in several positions including his latest in the Drug Court. He established the D.R.E.A.M. Sober Group, created to assist clients with the Drug Court process.
Carl enjoyed fishing, was a handyman, loved his garden and his pigmy goats. He was considered a “Joe” of all trades, even working with concrete on many occasions but it was never his favorite job to do.
Carl was a practical joker. His true pride and joy are his three boys. He was an avid Bronco fan, regularly sporting his Bronco colors.
Carl is survived by his mother, Charlotte Miller; his wife, Dana Miller, sons, Jackson Miller, Calvin J. Miller and Andy D. Miller; sisters Pat (Doug) Larson and Jenny Miller; five nephews and 1 niece.
He was preceded in death by his father, Warren Miller; and grandparents, Vernon and Evelyn Miller and Jack and Ruby Wilson; and his uncle, Kenneth Swanson.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Monday, November 10, 2014 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday November 11, 2014 at the Island Grove 4-H Building with a reception to follow. Inurnment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
