My blessings and my prayers go with the family of a beautiful man who helped me achieve my every dream via teaching me the positive aspects of a clean life.  He will be a mentor always and his work will live on in others. Being one of Carl's older cousins, I have many fond memories of him growing up.  Our families were very close so we spent many good times together.  Although it's hard to pick a favorite memory, one that still makes me smile is that of Carl and my brother, John, on the Fourth of July.  As boys, Carl and John loved shooting off fireworks every Fourth, and they always had an amazing display.  They also delighted in scaring their sisters with black cat firecrackers!  Pesky brothers!  Carl, we will miss your sense of fun and adventure.

My love and prayers go out to Dana and the boys, Aunt Charlotte and Jenny, and Pat and Doug and the boys.  I know that the sadness I feel is small compared to yours.  Please know that I am thinking of you.

I worked with Carl at Weld County Probation Department for a number of years.  He was a very kind and intelligent person in this department.  I was a secretary (support staff) and he was always willing to help this unit any way that he could. My most fond memory of Carl is when he tried to scare the crap out of his sister Jenny & I by scratching on the window of her room late at night while we were hanging out...this must've been over 20 years ago, but still makes me laugh to this day! :-)  Sending prayers to his entire family for God's peace and love to comfort them during such a sad time.

Carl meant a great deal to many in the recovery community.  He will be missed.  I pray his inspiration is carried on!

When the enemy death strikes your grief can be great. It’s never the right time to say goodbye to a loved one. Death, to many, seems to be a part of life. Carl was my probation officer, and my friend. He cared about all of his people and only wanted us to succeed. He had such a great sense of humor and big heart.
