

She was born to Elmer and Gertrude (Peterson) Anderson on August 2, 1934 in Lucerne, Colorado. She graduated from Eaton High School and attended Colorado A & M.
Carol married Donald Honstein on November 28, 1953 in New Mexico. He passed away in November 1986. Together they farmed and raised their children in the Eaton area. In 1985 they moved to Fort Collins where Carol worked in the cafeteria at Woodward Governor, Mary Kay, YTB Travels, Olan Mills, volunteering at the North Colorado Medical Center and passing out samples at Sam's club until her stroke in 2016.
She loved to shop, travel, and the color pink. She was a member of the Eaton Twilight Extension Club, St. Paul's Congregational Church, charter member of Christian Congregational, and Harmony Presbyterian.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Marvin Heimbichner and sister-in-law, Lauretta Anderson. She is survived by sons Larry (Monika) Honstein, Randy (Mayo) Honstein and daughter, Lisa (Fred) Rudd. Six grandchildren, Casi (James) Honstein, Travis Honstein, Maylin (Jeff) Smith, Brad (Heather) Honstein, Chad (Karissa) Rudd, and Cortney (Chris) Soldner. Four great-grandchildren, Darien Espino, Catarina Smith, Kinley Honstein and Ryder Soldner. One brother, Ronald Anderson.
A visitation for Carol will be held Monday, March 10, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Allnutt Funeral Service - Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. also at Allnutt Funeral Service - Macy Chapel. Carol will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado, 80634 immediately following the service.
