Carolyn Ialene was born March 19, 1973 in Casper, Wyoming, the daughter of David Murphy and Della Duncan. During her childhood she spent many happy days at the family’s cabins near Saratoga, Wyoming. Her brother, Ryan, and her spent many days fishing and riding dirt bikes.
Her family later moved to Loveland, Colorado and made their home at Pinewood Lake. She attended Thompson Valley High School where she played soccer and played in the high school marching band.
She then moved to Denver and was licensed as a massage therapist and certified nurse assistant. Carolyn worked at “Accent for Independence” as a manager and more recently at Mosaic in Greeley. She loved working with people that had disabilities and brain injured patients.
She loved cooking and trying new recipes. Carolyn loved music and the Indigo Girls were her favorite band. She especially loved her Ovation guitar. Her apartment had many reproductions of Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali paintings. She made acrylic paintings for her family members and enjoyed artwork.
Her most favorite pastimes were fishing, riding her Honda Shadow motorcycle, and spending time with her brother and her niece Shayla Murphy.
Carolyn had the “Phoenix” tattooed on her forearm and wore a Phoenix ring given to her by her mother. The phoenix is a mystical bird which consumes itself in fire. Its ways are secret and hidden. Then the phoenix rises out of its ashes for a new beginning. We have comfort in knowing Carolyn has risen from her ashes and is now in a place of peace with her father, David Murphy.
She will be sorely missed by her mother, Della McGuire of Fort Collins; brother, Ryan Murphy, his wife Nicole of and niece, Shayla Murphy; 2 uncles: Carl and Jim Duncan all of Loveland.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father.
Memorial Service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Allnutt Funeral Service Chapel in Loveland. Family and friends are encouraged to visit www.allnutt.com to sign the online guestbook and share memories of Carolyn.
