I remember Carolyn from the 1st Methodist  Church in Hutch.  I just discovered her passing in the Hutch High Alumni '61 file. I was in the class of '60.  I remember her smile, her laugh, her friendliness.  Paul--Death is hard to accept--but when I lost my wife of 22 years in 2001,  the Lord have me a message: ""Hang in there, keep the faith and good things will happen.""  And they have.  So Paul---Hang in there.

Paul and family,
In the days since we learned of Carolyn's illness, I've been thinking of her smile, laugh and her graciousness, among other things that were special about her.  I especially appreciated her understanding of the job of being a mom to a toddler and preschooler.  She could relate because she'd been there and also knew because of Julie's children too.  She was encouraging and supportive.  I will always remember Carolyn when I look at a four-color pen, the one with blue, black, red and green ink that switches out with different ballpoints.  She understood about a little boy fidgeting in church and gave hers to Luke one Sunday to help occupy him during church when it was a challenge for him to be in church.
We are sure going to miss her, but one one as much as you all.  Thankfully we have many special memories to fill our hearts and minds with as we remember her.
