Catherine Collins Fortenberry, 96, was born December 23, 1929, and died April 22, 2026. She will be remembered with deep respect, enduring gratitude, and love by all who had the privilege to know her. Her life will be honored for the steady devotion and quiet strength she carried through the years.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Ulysses Fortenberry, her daughter, Liz Blea, and her siblings. She is survived by her son, Dewey Fortenberry (Becky Fortenberry); her son-in-law, Joe Blea; her grandchildren, Janice Repaci (Vince Repaci), Clint Fortenberry, Scott Fortenberry (Chris Fortenberry), and Bob Blea (Crystal Blea), Trisha Laralde (Max Laralde), Tommy Lester (Jessica Lester); and she leaves behind many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on April 30, 2026 at 9:00 am, followed by a Memorial Service at 10:00 am both at Allnutt Funeral Service - Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. Burial will take place at 2:00 pm at the Ault Cemetery, 253 E 3rd Street, Ault, Colorado 80610.
