Cayden Michael Jesus Owens

Born on March 24, 2008, in Brighton, Cayden was the beloved son of Chris Owens and Marissa Garcia. He was a senior at GOAL Academy, known for his charisma, confidence, and unforgettable smile that could light up any room. Cayden had a passion for fashion — always dressed to impress, sporting his blingy jewelry, and leaving a trail of fresh cologne.

A creative spirit, Cayden loved music and could often be found freestyling. He was an avid Cowboys fan and a true sports enthusiast. He enjoyed fishing, gaming, and simply being outdoors. His huge, beautiful smile lit up any room he was in.

Cayden had a special love for the holidays, especially when it came to making and eating his cherry cheesecakes. He also loved cooking his gourmet mac and cheese in the middle of the night. He was a proud member of Higher Grounds and carried a strong belief in God and a deep sense of morale.

He adored his family, including his fur-babies Clark and Kuro, and is now reunited in spirit with Clark Kent, Smokey, Emma, and Snow. Cayden’s love and light will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving parents, Chris Owens and Marissa Garcia; his honorary mother, Daphne Johnson; his siblings, Christopher Owens, Cameron Garcia, Caeli Garcia, and D’Ajanay Owens; his grandparents, Dorothy Garcia and Eva Oliver; aunts Brittani Garcia and Alisha Owens; uncles Wayne (Willmetta) Owens, Drew (Whitney) Owens, Joe Garcia, and Merion Ward; his godparents, Brandie Chavez and Jesus Macias; and many other extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his beloved pets Clark Kent, Smokey, Emma, and Snow; an unborn child; his great-grandmother Rosa Garcia; his uncles, Jhread Oliver, James Garcia, and Joe Michael Garcia; his aunt Rosetta Garcia; and his grandfathers, Larry Owens and Terry Oliver.

A memorial fund has been established in Cayden’s honor at FNBO.

Cayden’s presence will never be forgotten — his style, his smile, and the joy he brought to every moment will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

A visitation for Cayden will be held Monday, September 8, 2025 from 5:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m. at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 West 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. A celebration of life will be Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Mosaic Church, 3451 23rd Avenue, Evans, Colorado 80620.
