
Charles McFarlin, 77, of Fort Collins died Friday, January 2nd of cancer at Poudre Valley Hospital. Charles was born October 31, 1948 in Greeley, Colorado to Marvin and Gladys (Strom) McFarlin. He grew up on a farm north east of Pierce and graduated from Highland High School in Ault in 1966. He later became a wheat farmer in the Nunn area and then went into real estate development. He became an expert carpenter, electrician, mechanic, plumber, welder, inventor and backhoe operator and over the years has installed hundreds of complex septic systems all over northern Colorado. His favorite hobby was to spend winters in Arizona and prospect for gold with his latest inventions. Charles was always the go to person for problem solving.
Mr. McFarlin is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his longtime girlfriend, Nancy Nash; sister Mary Ann (Larry) Allsman of Roseville, California; brother Randall McFarlin of Nunn; his kids Brandon and Anna and nieces and nephews.
To honor Mr. McFarlin's request there will be no services.
