Charles was an interesting person who made the most of life. He accomplished so many things during his lifetime time that it makes the rest of look like we are standing still.

In the summers, my mom, sister and I would visit Uncle Chuck in Fort Collins.  I enjoyed looking at all of the rocks he had on display and going to the park to feed the ducks.  I am sorry I couldn't drive back to see all of the family.

Both of us were lucky to have known Mr. Turner since he taught us earth science at Blevins! Later in life we visited Mr. Turner at his wonderful house when he first made my wedding ring, and then other pieces of jewelry that he made or fixed for us. We always enjoyed the visits, and were happy to see him again when he lived at the same facility as Barb's Dad. We are glad that we knew Charles Turner, and will remember him fondly.

I attended Blevins Junior High but never had Mr.Turner as a teacher.  After he retired, he often repaired jewelry for both my mother and me.  He lived in a wonderful old house on Oák St. He had a quiet, calm way of talking and it was always interesting.  I will miss him.

Will be looking for you folks in the last roundup.  I still remember watching Lillian milking the cow up in Steamboat. Bless you all!  Phil

In 1970 I came to Ft Collins from N.C.and began teaching at Blevins JHS. The staff member assigned to welcome me was Chuck Turner. I will always remember that moment and his kindness. I still have a beautiful lapis necklace that Chuck made for me. My sympathy to the family for your loss.
