Charlotte Anne Lauridsen

Charlotte Anne (Ahlrichs) Lauridsen, age 91 passed away on March 14, 2024, in Greeley CO. She was born to Ed and Minnie (Redman) Ahlrichs on the family farm in Lincoln Township near Pocahontas, Iowa. After attending a rural school in Lincoln Township, she then graduated from Pocahontas Public School in 1951. She then entered the Iowa Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in Des Moines, Iowa and graduated from there in 1954. After graduation, she and two friends moved to Greeley, Colorado where she worked as a registered nurse for 19 years.

On December 28, 1955, she married Fred (Fredrick) Lauridsen, Jr. of Greeley, Colorado at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Pocahontas, Iowa.

In 1978, she left the nursing field and went to work for Hewlett Packard in the Inspection and Photo Lab Dept. in Loveland, Colorado, working there until her retirement in 1996. After retirement, she and her husband spent their summers at their mountain property near Grand Lake, Colorado.

Charlotte is survived by three sons, David of Greeley, Colorado, Mark (Kay) of Greeley, Colorado, and James (Margo) of Glenkindie, Aberdeenshire in Scotland, two granddaughters, Amy and Katie Lauridsen of Greeley, Colorado, two grandsons, Caleb and Taylor Lauridsen of Scotland and two great grandchildren, Chet and Madelynn Lauridsen of Greeley, Colorado. Also survived by nieces and nephews in Iowa, Oregon and Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Daniel in 1982, her husband Fred in 2002, her brother, Robert in 2010 and daughter-in-law Yong in 2022.

Although her interests were many, raising flowers and gardening were at the top. But most of all was spending time and staying in touch with her sons and their families and special friends. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran in Greeley, Colorado.

No local services will be held. A private inurnment will be at the cemetery in Grand Lake, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, please make any memorial contributions to the Weld Food Bank or The Wounded Warriors Organization in care of Stoddard Funeral Home.
