Chase E. “Buck” Rinehart of Greeley passed away at his home on Monday, July 12, 2010. He was born March 19, 1940 in Prairie City Iowa. He grew up in Prairie City and graduated from Prairie City High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962-1966 and in the U.S. Air Force Reserves from 1966-1968.
Buck married Betty Layne on December 28, 1965.
He was a long time business owner of Rinehart Construction, a member of North Weld County Water board from 2004 to present, and past president of Weld County Fish and Wildlife Club and was a board member for many years. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and he did a lot of competition shooting. He enjoyed schooling Black Powder Muzzleloaders and being on the farm. He enjoyed pheasant and deer hunting with his dad, west of Wall, South Dakota for many years.
He attended Greeley Wesleyan Church.
He is survived by his wife Betty of Greeley; 3 daughters, Linda Hampton (Kevin)of Highlands Ranch, Joey Rinehart-Lamborn (Scott) of Greeley, and Lawonda Koehler (Russell) of Evans; his mother Jean Rinehart and sister Elaine Olson, both of Mason City, Iowa; 6 grandchildren, Derek Smith, Samantha Hanson, Jordan Lamborn, Steven Hanson, Kristopher Hampton and Kaitlyn Hampton; 1 great-granddaughter Kieli Smith. Preceded in death by his father Loren Chase Rinehart.
Memorial service 2 p.m. Monday at Greeley Wesleyan Church. Inurnment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Prairie City, Iowa.
