Christopher Rhett Black, 52, of Evans, died Sunday, September 15, 2019 at North Colorado Medical Center, Greeley. He was born on May 13, 1967 in Palo Alto, California to Cecil Rhett and Sally Ann (Swindler) Black.
Chris was raised in Orange County in Tustin, California. He graduated from Tustin High School. After graduation, he attended Irvine Valley College, focusing on computer technology. After college, he worked at the Acacia Company. He also worked in warehouses and was very good at logistics.
In 2001, Chris moved to Colorado. He worked for Seagate in Longmont, and later worked for VMC and OTSI, which are both computer-testing companies for Hewlitt-Packard.
Chris collected numerous Star Wars memorabilia pieces and knew everything about the Star Wars Saga.
Chris is survived by his brothers, Rich Black (Michelle) of Greeley and Mike Black of Evans; aunt, Rosy Kirkpatrick (Bud) of Big Bear, California; uncle, Henry Swindler (Doris) of Tustin, California and four cousins, Amber Guillen (Dimitri), Matthew Stegeman (Rachel), Victoria Stegeman and Lori Kunkel (Jackson).
He was preceded in death by his mother, father and grandparents.
Private family gathering will be held at a later date.
