Claire enjoyed other sports including swimming, tennis, and skiing, as well as reading, socializing, genealogy, crafts, sewing and quilting, gardening, and travel. She was active in numerous groups including Trinity Episcopal Church Altar Guild, PEO, Assistance League, Crescent Club, and Destination Unknown. She played in several bridge groups and was in birthday and sewing groups. Claire and Bud enjoyed traveling and playing golf at various courses around the country as well as attending CU home football games and away games during their travels.
She is survived by her children Patty (Allan Pratt), Jim, Susie (Bob Cowles), granddaughter Liz (Beau Bufton), granddaughter-in-law Allison Cowles, and five great grandchildren Braylon, Brody, and Blakely Bufton and Caden and Everett Cowles, as well as many nieces and nephews.
