

Claude Henry Buehrle, of Greeley, passed away on May 16, 2025, at home, he was 79 years old. His wife, Lorraine, was by his side. He was born on September 20, 1945, to George and Irene (Landis) Buehrle at Grandview Hospital in Sellersville, Pennsylvania.
He grew up in the village of Blooming Glen, Hilltown Township of Pennsylvania. Claude graduated from Pennridge High School in 1963, and he graduated in the mid 70’s from La Salle University, Night Division, Philadelphia. While attending college, he worked full time, studied and became a Certified Public Accountant. In 1967 he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served three years, including one year in Vietnam. After specialized training he earned top-secret clearance which he used in Vietnam in a Communications Center to code and decode incoming and outgoing messages. After his time in the Army, he worked for two accounting firms and then started his own CPA business, which he ran until his retirement.
Claude and Lorraine (Crouthamel) Buehrle, met in high school and happily married on August 7, 1966. They would have celebrated their 60th Anniversary this coming August. The couple raised their family with love and integrity. Later they traveled extensively both in the United States and Europe.
He was a member of the Lions Club and served as President. As President he and Lorraine went to the International Lions Convention in Taiwan, and then traveled to Hong Kong and China. He served on the Board of Directors of First Savings Bank of Perkasie for 33 years. He retired in 2006 and moved to Colorado to be closer to family.
Claude’s hobbies included reading, jigsaw puzzles and playing golf. He was a member of the Highland Hills Senior Golf Association and served as President for two years. He was a devoted member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Greeley. He served on several different committees. Most of all he loved family get-togethers and always loved attending his grandchildren's sporting and musical activities.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine, daughters, Kristen (Jeffrey) Stewart, grandsons Connor and Caden, and daughter, Karen (James) Overlin, and granddaughters, Delaney and Quinn, one brother Willis (Helen) Buehrle.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, 11am, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 1800 21st Ave, Greeley, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Tunnel To Towers, t2t.org.
