Claude married Maribel Farrens in 1950. They moved to the Greeley area, where Claude helped his father with floor sanding and then early in the Monfort packing plant he began cutting meat. They raised three daughters, Cherlyn, Shelley and Lindsey. He was a local preacher in the Sunny View Church of the Nazarene.
They moved to Winnemucca, Nevada, where Claude became a driller for the Pinson Gold Mining Company.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maribel, daughter, Shelley Wadsworth, granddaughter, Stephanie Wadsworth, brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Shirley Thomison and his sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Lester Miller, Cleta and Wes Good and Triva and Wilber Deemer.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Cherlyn and Thomas Smith and Lindsay and Greg Schelling; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Greeley.
