Corey Leroy Schwartz

Corey Leroy Schwartz, 66, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away on May 23, 2026. Corey was born on January 26, 1960, in Greeley to David and Margaret (Hein) Schwartz. He was raised alongside his two brothers and graduated from Greeley Central High School before earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Marketing from the University of Northern Colorado.

On August 29, 1981, Corey married Tina Suden. Together they built a loving home and raised three children while creating a life centered around faith, family, hard work, and service to others.

Corey was well known as the owner and operator of Schwartz's Krautburger Kitchen, where he proudly continued and expanded the family business, including the addition of a food truck. He cared deeply for his employees and customers and was well known throughout the Greeley-Evans community for his generosity, kindness, and strong work ethic.

A devoted member and leader within his church, Corey found countless ways to serve others. Whether helping with church leadership, volunteering as a Boy Scout leader for his son Andrew’s troop, or lending a helping hand wherever needed, Corey believed in living a life of purpose and service.

Corey loved traveling with his family and especially enjoyed trips to the East Coast for seafood, along with adventures to beaches lined with palm trees. His travels also took him to Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Canada, and Alaska. He enjoyed taking pictures of his travels and especially loved creating home videos. He had a passion for classic sports cars, was a self-taught handyman, and was known for being an excellent planner who always kept life lively and full of adventure.

Family was the center of Corey’s life. He cherished family dinners, loved flipping pizzas for his grandchildren, and never missed a chance to share one of his signature dad jokes. He was patient, caring, and always worked hard to provide opportunities for his family beyond those he had himself. His love, guidance, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Corey is survived by his wife of 44 years, Tina Schwartz; his children, Kyra (Dan) Schwalm, Amber (Clint) Thorson, and Andrew (Debbie) Schwartz; his 11 beloved grandchildren, Aliyah, Jemma, Brevan, Anja, Elijah, Averie, Jaxson, Ariana, Lilyana, Adwyn, and Izola; and his brother, Allen (Beverly) Schwartz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Margaret Schwartz, and his brother, Lonnie Schwartz.

A Celebration of Corey’s Life will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3000 35th Avenue, Greeley, Colorado.
