

.Darlene Marie Flos of Denver died Monday, November 8, 2010 at Rose Medical Center in Denver. She was born on May 26, 1967 in Greeley to Jake and Jennie L. (Benavidez) Padilla. She attended Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Greeley as a child. She was reared and educated in Greeley. She continued on with her education in Hereford, Texas, where she attended college. After graduating from college, she worked as a paramedic in Hereford. She moved to Denver on January 15, 2002.
Darlene married Chuck Flos on May 31, 2008. She was the best wife, mother and grandmother. She was very kind to all she met and put her family above everything.
Darlene was an unbelievable cook, especially when she made her tortillas. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She loved to play Bingo and going on trips to Blackhawk.
She is survived by her husband, Chuck of Denver; daughter Ariane Flos of Spokane, WA; sons Jerry Don Maldonado and Lorenzo Maldonado, Jr. both of Hereford, TX, Jeremy Maldonado, Raul Moncivais, Jr, Ethan and Colton Flos, all of Denver; her mother Jennie Corral (Pascual) of Greeley; father Jake Padilla (Eva) of Vancouver, WA; sisters Sheila Padilla of Greeley, Pearl Padilla of Phoenix, AZ, Jessica Benavidez, Ivory Ortiz (Tony) both of Greeley and Corina Vegal (Jose) of Vancouver, WA; brothers Jake Padilla, Jr. (Zenida) of Los Angeles, CA, Alejandro Padilla (Nancy) of Corona, CA, Gabriel Padilla of Vancouver, WA, and Ricardo Padilla (Liz) Pico Rivera, CA; 15 grandchildren, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation 3-5 p.m. Friday at Stoddard Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary 7 p.m. Friday at St Peter's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Inurnment will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
