Dean Barden

He was in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He married Wanda Sanders in 1946, moving to Greeley in 1960. Dean worked with Ed and Al Harrington until 1994.

Dean always took care of other people. He loved children and drew everyone into playing games, fishing and camping. He and Wanda traveled all over in their pick-up camper. Dean cared for Wanda during her long illness, and later was the go-to person in his apartment complex.

Dean is survived by his sons, Rex (Nancy) of Greeley and Hugh of Indiana; sister, Arwilda Harrington of Greeley; two sisters-in-law, Norma Barden of Texas and Rita Foster of Wyoming; a brother-in-law, Alton Hollingsworth of Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Dean was a long-time member and elder of the Church of Christ.

A memorial service will be Saturday Oct 22 at 10 am at Westview Church of Christ, 4151 W. 20th Street, Greeley CO 80634.
