Dickie Evone Kinnison
January 26, 1933 – September 21, 2022

Dickie Evone Kinnison, 89, of Pierce, CO passed away peacefully on September 21, 2022 at Columbine Commons Health & Rehab in Windsor, CO.
He was born January 26, 1933 in Angus, Nebraska to Lyle and Montrie (Reeves) Kinnison. The family moved to Pierce, Colorado in the early 1940’s where they farmed and ranched.
Dick graduated from Pierce High School in 1952 and married his sweetheart Shirley Winick on June 14, 1953 in Pierce.
They moved to the Eaton and Ault area where Dick farmed and they raised three sons Rick, Randy, and Arnold. He later worked for Weld County as a grader operator retiring in 1994 as a supervisor. Dick was a founding and active member of the First Baptist Church of Pierce until his death. He was a kind and giving man and could often be found mowing the church grounds. Dick and Shirley loved to dance at Dutch Hops and Polkas. He enjoyed camping, fishing, restoring furniture, working in his yard, and tinkering in his workshop. He adored Shirley. He loved and was proud of his family.
Dick is survived by his sons, Randy (Robin) Kinnison of Eaton and Arnold (Toni) Kinnison of Pierce; Daughter-in-law Rhonda Kinnison; granddaughter Becky Kinnison; grandsons, Matthew (Sara) Kinnison, Gary (Kayla) Kinnison, Phillip (Liza) Kinnison, David Kinnison, Austin (Rachel) Kinnison; thirteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; sister-in-law Luella Kinnison; sisters-in-law Ruth (Roy) Hawkins; Beverly (Wray) Lewis; Aldine Winick, Corrine Winick; many nieces and nephews; special friend of the family Betty Moseley; and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Ray; wife Shirley, son Rick; and grandson Gene.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the Ault-Pierce Fire Department, Pierce, Colorado.
A Funeral Service for Dick will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634.
