

D. Timothy “Tim” Galindo, 59, of Greeley died April 19, 2015 at Hospice of Northern Colorado. He was born April 24, 1955 in Greeley to Francisco and Rita Maria (Trujillo) Galindo. Tim married Christina Cervantez on June 2, 1978 in Greeley. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Tim attended schools in the Galeton and Eaton areas. He was active in 4-H as a youngster and enjoyed raising animals. Tim played football and basketball in high school. He was Class President, Prom King and delivered the graduation speech. He graduated from Eaton High School in 1974.
Tim worked for Kodak of Colorado for 21 years. He loved watching his sons play baseball in both high school and college. He attended every game and practice. Before numerous health issues, Tim enjoyed woodworking, taking meticulous care of his yard and working on muscle cars including his 1969 Camero, 1971 Corvette, 1923 Ford T Bucket and 1972 Chevy Pickup. As Tim became more ill, he enjoyed the warmth of the sunshine on his body. Above all was the love for his family and their time together. His life revolved around his two sons. He adored his four grandchildren and held on until the arrival of Allison.
Tim is survived by his wife Christina “Tina” Galindo; sons Timothy (Lindsey) Galindo of Greeley and Jacob (Sandy) Galindo of Minneapolis, Minnesota; mother-in-law and father-in-law Ramona and Edward Cervantez of Gilcrest; sisters Mary Helen (Pasquale) D’Angelo of Greeley and Viola Gutierrez of Galeton; sisters-in-law Mary Kay Galindo and Fay Galindo both of Greeley; grandchildren Natalie, Ella, Alex and Allison; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Marce Aldrich; four brothers Frank, Steve, Andrew and Felix; a brother-in-law Ted Gutierrez; a sister-in-law Georgina Galindo and a nephew Robert Galindo.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m., Friday, April 24, 2015 followed by Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. both at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 9th Avenue and 12th Street. Inurnment will take place at 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2015 at Eaton Cemetery.
