Don was a great joy to me in the short time I had to share with him. A gift from my heavenly Father was Don's eyes that spoke volumes from his heart. Thank you Ann Marie for sharing him! Lovely thoughts your way!! Remember the mustard seed.

I never knew we each had grandmothers named Mabel. Your dad sounds like a fascinating man. His life reminds me of ""Oh, the Places You'll Go!"" the last book published before Dr. Seuss' death, about life and its challenges. You have done much to carry on your Dad's legacy.
My heart goes out to you.

Uncle Don took an interest in his nieces when he would come for a visit. I remember when Uncle Don would come back to Iowa, he would bring us girls gifts from a foreign country. I still have some fans and slippers from him. We have special memories of time spent with Uncle Don and Aunt Anna Marie.

Judy, I wanted to offer you and your family our deepest sympathy.  Our prayers are with you.  I know that God will comfort you and your family.  Blessed are they that mourn for they will be comforted.  Val

What a remarkable life!  Now I know where Judy gets her zest for life and commitment to serve.   I am sure Don will be missed by many. God be with you all.
