Donald Raymond Jetter, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away on December 2, 2021 at The Center at CenterPlace Assisted Living. He was born on September 24, 1942 to Howard and Mildred Jetter in Omaha, Nebraska.
Don graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. He worked with Arthur Anderson as an accountant and earned his C.P.A. license. On August 2, 1969, he married Connie Curtis in Omaha. The couple adopted their daughter, Sheri, in 1973. Don purchased a Hallmark store in Greeley, with the goal of being the best Hallmark dealer in the state. In the height of their career, the couple owned 5 Hallmark stores and 4 bulk candy stores, known as Scoops, Treats & Gifts. Don loved being in the retail business and he would have been a great mentor to someone starting a business. He had a passion for investing and stocks.
He attended the First Congregational Church of Greeley, where his position was to manage the facilities. He was a member of the National Guard. He was a loving husband and father, and he had a great personality. He was even know to sing “Omaha, Omaha” in a restaurant.
Don is survived by his wife, Connie, his daughter Sheri Lynn Dvorak, and grandchildren, Charles, Peter and Kayla Dvorak.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the First Congregational Church, 2101 16th Street, Greeley, at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
