Donna Marie Nibel

Donna Marie Nibel, 84, of Fort Collins passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Brookdale Assisted Living. Donna was born on March 10, 1933 to Donald and Marie McIlree in Iowa City, Iowa. After graduating high school, Donna went to the State University of Iowa for a short time. On April 28, 1955 Donna married Lowell D. Nibel, and together they had four children. She lived in Iowa City until 1963, which is when she moved to Fort Collins, Colorado.

During life she worked as a Medical Transcriptionist for Associates of Family Medicine. Donna loved to travel, read, and go to plays. She was also a Bronco fan and loved to spend time with her family.

Donna is preceded by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her four children; Diane Riggs of Westminster, CO, Debra (David) Bader of Brentwood, CA, Larry (Liz) Nibel of Brush, CO, and David Nibel of Vincennes, IN. Donna is further survived by five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and her loyal dog Jojo.

A funeral service will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home at 2:00PM with burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Larimer County Humane Society or Alzheimer’s Society.
