Dora Higgins, 93 of Greeley passed away on Thursday July 16th at the Centennial Care Facility in Greeley. She was born August 9, 1921 in Scott City, Kansas to Pearle and Harry Greenwood. She married Arthur Martin Higgins on March 8, 1942 in Kanorado, Kansas.
Dora worked for over 40 years in the health care field in nursing homes and at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.
Dora’s husband Arthur preceded her in death in 1979 and her son Gary Higgins also preceded his mother in death in 2002.
Dora is survived by her son Larry (Trudy) Higgins of LaSalle and daughter Delores (Rusty) Seekamp of Greeley; grandchildren Russell Higgins, Jolenne Sperling, Troy Higgins, Wade Higgins, Kirk Higgins, Kyle Higgins, Kendra Christy, Mark Perkins, Lance Perkins, Michele Howard, Greg Perkins and Ben Perkins. She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 8 – 10 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2015 at Stoddard Funeral Home with graveside services to follow at 10:30 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
