

He was born on May 22, 1967 in Omaha, Nebraska to Charles Kler and Judy Clifton. When he was 6 years old, his dad married Connie Selk, and they raised Douglas and his 3 brothers in the Greeley and Kersey area.
Douglas was a precast concrete finisher for 30 years, and was very good at what he did. He enjoyed life to its fullest, and loved riding motorcycles. He enjoyed cooking, and made a great spaghetti sauce. He was crafty, and liked to draw, spray paint, and carve & paint mirrors. He and his granddaughter, Mackenzy, enjoyed doing crafts together, especially clay artwork.
More than anything else in his life, Douglas loved his family and being able to spend time with his grandkids.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Chuck Kler, his mother, Judy, his wife Merrie Sue Kler in 2007, and his brother David Kler in 2022.
Douglas is survived by his daughter, Felicia Romey (Michael); son, Chad Kler (Brittanie Johnson); step-mom, Connie Kler; brothers, Dan Kler (Sandy) and Christopher Kler (Olivia); sister, Jolene Bond; granddaughter, Mackenzy Romey; grandson, Dawson Romey; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 15, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. A celebration of life will take place Monday, September 16, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Allnutt Funeral Service - Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. There will be a reception at Allnutt - Macy Chapel following the interment.
