Bev and family,
I was saddened to read of Duane's passing today. Quite by accident I stumbled upon his obituary this evening and a world of memories came flooding back . . . delivering your paper when you lived on Circle Drive! Babysitting for your kids - who now have kids of their own!; working for Duane in the Registrar's office at CSC (it wasn't UNC yet)! :0) Your family has long held a special place in my memories. Please know I will keep all of you close in thought and prayer as you go through this difficult time of loss. May God fill you with comfort and peace.

Bev and family - Those of us who were there at the time always enjoyed you and Duane coming into Starbucks.  I especially remember Dave hollering ""Duuuuaaannnne!"" and the surprise when one day, Duane really hollered back ""DAAAAAAVVVEE""! I did not expect that!  What fun we had!  I also hold precious those times when I was on break and was able to join y'all when you came in. 
I also am so glad to have gotten to know you and Duane a little more through my tutoring him on the computer.  As he would get a little uptight, it was neat that I could cajole him and ease his tension.
We wanted you to know how much we have enjoyed you and Duane's company.

He was my Grandad and one of the most intellegent and nicest men I know. I will miss him and though I know hes in a better place it's still really hard to bear.
