It was rough starting Easter Sunday without Effie, but as the day wore on my sadness turned to joy.  I remembered allof the good times we had and know she's with the Lord our Savior!  
Barbara, I'm sorry for your loss.   I'm sure it makes it harder not understanding why your mother did some of the things the way she did.  May you find peace in the Lord this Easter Sunday.

There was never a time when I couldn't find you in good spirits Effie. I greatly enjoyed our ""burger and a beer"" at Old Town, our wine at Olive Garden, Oktoberfest in Loveland, watching movies, Horsetooth, planting tulips, our long talks on the phone and all the HoneyDo's.  I truly miss your spirit.  Thank you for being a grandmother to me and one of my closest friends.  My love and heart goes out to her and ""my"" family...

The two of us lived next to Effie for almost 10 years. She was a blessing, and she was our ""2nd"" grandmother. We always enjoyed visiting with her, and will miss her very much. Our condolences to her family, and if there is anything we can do, please let us know.

My husband spoke with Effies daughter tonight.  I wanted to express my gratitude for Effies friendship.  We loved her dearly and she was the first person we thought of when visiting in Colorado.  We moved to Tennessee five years ago.  We had been friends with Effie for a few years when we decided to relocate for employment reasons.  I believe it was harder to leave Effie than all the family we were leaving.  She was a true delight every day and we loved helping her in any way we could.  Abe would stop in the morning to scoop her driveway after a snowfall because he worked nights.  Early that morning she would not have to worry about it.  We cherished every moment spent with Effie and invited her to Estes Park with the family years ago.  She was delighted to attend my son and daughters graduations.  We picked her up on the way to the graduations when we traveled from Tennessee to Colo.  We have so many wonderful memories and wish we could have had many many more.  We will miss her more than words can say! She even loved our Shar Pei Weasel dog and the funny scarves we put on her and sent via email.  She was family to us and wanted to visit us in Tennessee as soon as she got well.  
Effie we miss you and love you so much!  My tears are only remembering all the good times and your wonderful personality.
Thank you to her daughter for calling to inform us that Effie is no longer suffering.
Every time she called it was with the utmost best attitude-I hope someday I can live up to the standards Effie set on life.

Our Condolences to your family we will always cherish the memories of  our friendship with Effie, She was a wonderful friend.

I have many fond memories of Effie dating back to the 1960s.  Hunting trips, many meals with her and Dave Freeman, having her help me with my German, cooking fresh-caught trout when we lived nearby in Gunnison.  She seemed always in a good mood and ready for a good laugh.  She will be missed.

Barbara, sorry to hear about the loss of your mother.

We are incredibly proud and honored that Effie adopted us as her ""family"" and ""grandchildren"".  What an amazing impact she had on my and my childrens' lives in such a short time.  We will miss her terribly but will never ever forget.  Keep dancing Effie!

I was Effie's travel agent in Ft. Collins for many years and booked her trips to Germany.  She was a delightful person to work with and I always enjoyed talking with her.  She will be missed.

I worked with Effie for many years at Forney Industries and found her to be a very interesting and extraordinary person who touched many people's lives she came in contact with. She will be missed by many friends.

We shared a lot of tears, laughter and family during our years of frendship Effie. You became a large part of my grandaughter, Rheo's life, since you shared birthdays. We will never forget you and May you rest in peace at last.

Effie was my dauther's German teacher for several years.  They enjoyed Octoberfest at Schmidts and all things German.  We will miss her.

Effie was a courageous woman, a great German teacher and, above all, a wonderful friend.  We will miss her.
