Erich Draht

Erich Draht, 76, of Greeley, Colorado went to meet his Lord and Savior on April 21, 2023 after a difficult battle with cancer. He was born to Albert and Alice Draht on March 8, 1947, in Hannover, Germany. In 1952, he immigrated to the United States with his parents and grandparents through Baptist Church ministries, and settled for a short time in southwestern Kansas before moving to Arriba, Colorado. On March 22, 1980, he married the love of his life, Gloria Wolfe, in Greeley, Colorado.

Erich graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder with a degree in Aerospace Engineering Sciences. His employment included working for the Colorado Division of Highways, Zoyiopoulos and Associates, Inc., and his own engineering firm, Draht Consulting, LLC, until his retirement in 2022. During his spare time, Erich enjoyed traveling, hiking, and mountain climbing with his wife.

Erich is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of 43 years, Gloria Draht; and his sisters, Erika (Charles) Olson of Glendale, AZ, and Ruthanne (Bernie) Koch of Arriba, CO. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Alice Draht; and his grandparents, Otto and Juliana Draht, and Adolf and Martha Grunert.

A Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Allnutt Funeral Service – Macy Chapel, 6521 West 20th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. Private Burial to take place.
