They lived in Minnesota, where they had two daughters, Cindy and Julie. In 1965 IBM recruited Erling and moved his family to Longmont, Colorado. He was always busy! He loved his old cars from drag racing as a young kid to rebuilding 57 Chevy’s. He and Barb loved to travel. They took several cruises, drove throughout Mexico with the Klucks in their campers and spent many years traveling in their RV, taking Julie and Grandma Millie to Alaska and Jen and Chris across the U.S. He traveled to Europe to visit Cindy in the Netherlands and travelled to Belgium, Luxemburg and Sweden. In Sweden they visited relatives on his mom and dad’s side. His greatest love was spending time with his family and friends doing everything from camping, fishing, hunting and snowmobiling.
