Evelyn Mae Cupp, 85, died August 26, 2026. Born October 9, 1940, Evelyn was born and raised in Altoona, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Daniel and Bea Vickers; her father was a preacher. She later made her home in La Salle, Colorado.
In her junior year of high school, Evelyn met Gerald Cupp; they lived about four blocks from one another. They married in 1959 and, in 1965, moved to Centre Hall, Pennsylvania. Together they welcomed two sons, Randy and Thomas. Evelyn worked for Joston's American Yearbook Company. In 1980, Evelyn and Gerald moved to Colorado, where she went to work for Fred B. Rothman Company as a billing secretary. She retired from Fred B. Rothman in 1999.
Evelyn’s steady devotion to her family was matched by a quiet creativity and an enduring curiosity. She was artistic and explored several art forms as hobbies, including ceramics and glasswork. She also loved reading and completing puzzles—pastimes that reflected her patient, thoughtful nature. A genuine love of travel stayed with her throughout her life, and she visited all but three U.S. states.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Gerald Cupp; her two sons, Randy and Thomas Cupp; and one grandson, Dustin Cupp. A very loving mother and wife, Evelyn will be dearly missed.
