She was born to her loving parents, Peter and Rose (Schreiner) Snyder in Sedgwick, Colorado on July 21, 1928. She was raised and educated in Eaton, Colorado, where she graduated from Eaton High School in 1948. She attended beauty school in Denver, Colorado, where she met and married Martin Tjarks. They were later divorced.
She retired from IBM, Boulder, Colorado. She was a selfless, devoted mother and friend.
She is survived by her children, Patricia (Matthew) Demple, Larry Tjarks and Terry (Heather) Tjarks and grandchildren, Melissa (Chad) Burch, Eric (Cora) Palmer, Heather Tjarks and T.J. Tjarks.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Rose Snyder, three brothers, Herman Snyder, Robert Snyder and Kenneth Snyder and a grandson, Timothy Tjarks.
