Roberto’s parents moved the family to Greeley when he was 14 years old. He graduated from Greeley Central High School. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Greeley for many years.
Roberto was a professional driver most of his life. He enjoyed working out, running, being in the mountains, traveling and spending time with his daughters. He was a fan of the Denver Broncos, Colorado Eagle’s and the Colorado Rockies. His family was very important to him.
Roberto is survived by his ex-wife, Veronica Lechuga; daughters, Dennise Ruiz-Lechuga, Milka Ruiz-Lechuga and Mayrannie Ruiz-Lechuga; mother, Ofelia Gonzalez-Portillo; sister, Aracely Ruiz-Gonzalez; brothers, Eduardo and Tarcicio Ruiz-Gonzalez and granddaughter, Cataleah.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roberto.
A gathering will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
