91, of Greeley

Florence Reck, 91, of Greeley passed away February 15, 2014 at the Hospice of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit. She was born August 3, 1922 in Johnstown to Jacob and Elizabeth (Roth) Croissant.

She attended Hardin School through the 8th grade and was the last survivor of 12 children. Florence married Alfred H. Reck on February 12, 1949 at the First Baptist Church in LaSalle. He passed away November 17, 1983.

She was a homemaker and after Alfred died, she began working at Toddy’s and later at Wal-Mart as a greeter. She enjoyed her work there for 15 years.

Florence attended the First Baptist Church in LaSalle and later Sherwood Park Baptist Church for the past few years.

Survivors include her daughter; Cindy (Craig) Hayward of Mitchell, NE; daughter-in-law Laura Reck of Eaton; grandchildren Matt (Kendall) Reck of Greeley, Jeff Reck of Greeley, Andy (Megan) Hayward of Morrill, NE and Chris Hayward of Scottsbluff, NE

She was preceded in death by her siblings; Elsie, Peter, Henry, Chris, Reinhold, Roland, Harold, Olinda, Paul, Elmer and Albert, her parents, husband, son Larry and daughter Wanda.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel and one hour prior to the service. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014 at St. Paul’s Congregational Church. Interment Linn Grove Cemetery.
