John loved going to the football games with Fred and had great respect and admiration for him personally and professionally. I enjoyed his sense of humor, candor, openness, and easy acceptance of people.  It was always fun and enjoyable to be around Fred.  He was a treasure.

Hello Linda and Rick And Fred. I am sorry about the passing of your dad. Dave Rossman told my sister Lynn that he had seen the obituary in the Dubuque paper. I looked up the details on line. There is a very nice picture of Fred in the Allnutt website. I have many great memories of his visits to Iowa and much farther back in my life when you all lived here. My love to all of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.  I just lost my mother Dec 7, and I know what an empty feeling it is.

Dear Rich and family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your father. Because I know how special you are, know that he must have been a good man as well. I'm sure you will miss him very much. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers for peace and comfort at this difficult time.

Fred was much more to me than a boss. When I was hired by the USDA as a meat grader aand sent to Greeley to work, I was making 388.00 every 2 weeks! WOW! When I got a little tight on bills or needed travel money, Fred was always there with a little loan. Which always felt a little like a drug deal, because he always gave me the money in the parking lot of his apartment off of 23 Avenue. His reparte with me was legendary, and our sick sense of humors clicked immediately, and we loved to go back and forth, torturing each other verbally. I once even made him blush!!!  (not an easy feat). When he called me about finding a house for him back in Greeley, after I went into Real Estate, he was highly amused by the fact that his kids put a phone in the bathroom, so he would never get any peace, even in the potty! I love you Fred, thanks for being in my life, you have given me much joy and love. Holly

I worked with Fred for several years. I will always remember him as having a smile on his face or his laugh.
